How to create your own Black out Curtain or fly screen.

We have supplied you a quick video on a Black Out Screen which we created.

I decided I wasn’t paying $500.00 + for a special velux shade, that at the end of the day didn’t actually provide what I was wanting – a total Black out at night.

I am used to having a completely Blacked out bedroom at night, 

I can assure you it provides a much better sleep.  I wanted to find a Quick and easy method to do this.

I came up with the idea to purchase some Black out material, the material I got was from Sante Fe Blinds, Auckland. It was ideal because when you cut the material it did not fray so therefore didnt require any sewing on the edges. 

It was quick and easy work to sew on the Loop Velcro tape around the edges.

I also have sewn on a little pull handle from the same material. 

All you then need to do, is stick the Micro hook Adhesive backed fastener to the window frame, in my case I adhered it to the Fly screen that came with the window. 

The video should clarify how to make this quick and easy blind….. All you need now is the purchase of  this Unique pack which will provide you with 12.5 metres of 25 mm White sew on loop tape and 12.5 metres of White Adhesive backed Micro hook tape.

With some black out material and the above pack you can make your own black out screen.

You can also use this pack to create your own curtain pelmet and other odd jobs around the home!
