INFORMATION ; FIRE RETARDANT TAPES IN SEW ON VERSION ;

A fastening system specifically developed for industries where protection against fire is a consideration.
Product comes complete with a Certificate of compliance.
All fire retardant fasteners are tested to and comply with various standards ; military, aviation etc.
Fire Retardant tape is available as sew-on or adhesive backed.

Sew on Fire Retardant tapes are available in Black, White, Beige, Grey, and other military shades as below.
Please ask for V Tapes Colour card for Fire Retardant sew-on tapes.
The standard widths are 20 mm, 25 mm, 50 mm and Black only in 100 mm width.

V Tapes also import a specialized Aramid loop and Stainless steel hook tape for special puposes.

The 100% Aramid Ground fabric and 100% stainless steel hooks  provides a self-extinguishing fabric fastener for use within high temperature range 235 degrees celsius.

INFORMATION ; FIRE RETARDANT TAPES WITH ADHESIVE BACKING :

Fire Retardant tapes with Adhesive backing are only available in Black
The 8224 adhesive below is especially formulated to meet Boeing Specification BMS 8-285
and  Certified to BMS 8-285 60 FAR 25.853.

VELCRO® brand Adhesive 8224

• A rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesive formulated to meet Boeing Specification BMS 8-285
• High tack – quick setting
• Achieves 80% bond strength in about an hour; full strength in 30 hours
• Temperate operating range -65°F to 160°F
• Certified to BMS 8-285 60 second burn test for nylon hook and loop and 12 second burn test for polyester hook and loop

Certificate of Conformance to the MilSpec which will be sent with the order – The COC will be certified to the area in which the FR tape is being used.    V Tapes can  provide a copy of a laboratory flammability test report (tested to FAR25.853 aviation spec.) for each lot in an order if required.
