Are your Sanding pads no longer sticking to your Electric sander?

It can be extremely frustrating when your sanding pads fly off in the middle of a job but we’re here to tell you that it’s an extremely easy thing to fix

All you need to do is replace the Original hook on your sander with  VELCRO® Brand Industrial Strength Tape

+Read our below step by step Tutorial to find out what to do to ensure a secure hold.

HOW TO PREPARE A WORN OUT SANDER

Start by removing the old hook sheet that’s attached to your electric sander. This will take some strength but it can be peeled off. If not, simply sand it down until you’re left with a smooth surface to work with

Next, apply two new strips of VELCRO® Brand Industrial Strength Tape. Make sure you use the hook side of the tape (the scratchy side)..

Note : It is also important that you apply this tape to the sander in a Room temperature of 18 + degrees celsius.   If you are applying it in cold temperatures then make sure you heat the bottom plate of your sander with a heat gun to assure better adhesion.

All you have to do now is stick a new sandpaper pad to your sander.

Finally, drill dust holes into the new layer of VELCRO® Brand Industrial Strength Tape. You can do this while it’s stuck to your sander – just make sure the sander is not plugged in.

And that’s it – your worn out sander is repaired and ready for any DIY job that comes your way.

And the best thing is that this solution will help you Save money!
